Review: ” The Wet Nurse’s Tale”

The Wet Nurse’s Tale

by Erica Eisdorfer

The Wet Nurse’s Tale was excellently written and unlike anything I’ve read before. I flew through it in a day. It is the tale of spunky Susan Rose and the trials she goes through to survive as a poor woman in a strict class system society in 1800’s England. At times her story is shocking, humorous, and extremely sad. It’s difficult not to sympathize with her as she tries to overcome an abusive father, a lost love, and losing one child to death and another to it’s being kidnapped by her own father. As walls are placed in her path she will use strength, courage and  even deception to accomplish her goals. Even if you don’t have a taste for historical novels you will enjoy the outlandish characters in the Wet Nurse’s Tale.
