Hello again. Miss Me?

A word from your absent blogger…

I must issue a few words of apology for my absence of late. Part of the reason was getting caught up in the holiday whirl. You know, the cooking and cleaning and decorating… It all turns into some never-ending Fantasia-like cycle with me as Mickey with the wand that won’t stop going and going and going. But then, that sounds more like the Energizer bunny. Okay, that’s it, I promise, no more mangled metaphors!

Suffice it to say that I have had precious little time for reading, and less time for writing. But that, along with holiday hoopla and the year itself, is winding down. Now I am ready to settle in ( to paraphrase Clement Moore) for a long winter’s  respite.. of reading, reviewing and writing.

To my author friends out there, I owe many of you reviews on books you so kindly sent me. They will be forthcoming in the following days and weeks.

To my friends at VMagazine- I owe you as well, and will be posting there as well on a much more regular basis.

Coming soon… reviews on a wonderful book coming out in February through Penguin- The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown, as well as a delightfully new and original book by Cecilia Ahern ( author of P.S, I LOVE YOU),  The Book of Tomorrow ( also releasing in February).  I will also be posting some reviews on books released in 2010 that we may have overlooked.

So, settle in for some great reading recommendations. You’ll be hearing from me soon and often.

That’s one New Year’s Resolution you can count on me keeping!

Until then…

Here’s to a year full of FABULOUS BOOKS!
